Learning From Home Message from Ms. Roth

Good morning Twin Valley families,

I hope you are all doing well in this time of change and uncertainty. Our teachers and staff have been working together to plan for continued learning and needed services for our students. I am writing to share some important information with you all.

First, students can expect to hear from their teachers by Thursday regarding learning expectations. Most of this work will be done using Google Classroom and other Google apps. We have created a new website as a supervisory union dedicated to e-learning information, which can be accessed here or via our school website.

Next, tomorrow, Wednesday March 18, there will be windows of time for students to come into school to gather learning materials, Chromebooks and or chargers, and other belongings. All students will be allowed to take a Chromebook and charger home for the duration of this school closure. We are also asking that students ensure their lockers are free of food items and excess belongings.

Students may come to school at the following times:
Last names beginning with A through C, 9am - 10 am. Last names beginning with D through K, 10 am - 11 am. Last names beginning with L through P, 11 am - 12 pm. Last names beginning with R through Z, 12pm - 1 pm.
If you are unable to get to school during the given window, please call the school to arrange an alternative time at 368-2880 or email dfisher@tvhs.k12.vt.us

Finally, our food service program will continue to serve area students with the delivery of daily breakfast and lunch on weekdays. This program is FREE for all students under age 18, and we hope many will take advantage. Meals will be delivered to regular bus stops on a daily basis, in addition to some community drop off areas. Please contact our front office to confirm your interest in meal delivery or complete the following online survey:

I know this is a lot of information to take in. Please know that our school staff will be readily available by email during this time if you have questions or are in need of any support, or you can call the front office. We will continue to communicate new information as it becomes available. Thank you for the support you continue to show our school community.
